Destination Dominican Republic

Last year we decided that our family travel goals would be to take one out of the country trip a year. That way by the time the kids leave for collage they would have a few stamps on their passports and be exposed to other parts of this great big world. So for spring break this year, we decided we needed a warm location and a beautiful beach…we landed on Dominican Republic.

We knew we wanted an all inclusive type resort so I started researching caribbean locations that also had golf (our choice past time). I came across an article in Coastal Living Magazine listing their top 10 tropical locales and Sanctuary Cap Cana was on there. After a quick check on trip advisor for reviews we decided that this was our place!

We chose a villa to be a little bit further away from everyone at the hotel and also so we wouldn't have to worry about our kids being loud or other people around us being loud.

I'm not sure there is a better view anywhere in the world…

Even the restaurants were jaw-dropping beautiful.

And for some reason, even the night sky was more beautiful.

I'm pretty sure the kid's favorite part about the resort was the smoothies at the pool bar!

The pools were a big hit as well.

And they brought some of the local wildlife around the pool area every day.

Tomorrow I'll show you some of the daily activities we did as well as the excursions we picked!
